Texas Salutes the Coast Guard: November 12
Virtual Event Will Raise Funds for Coast Guard Members and Their Families
Our Texas Salutes the Coast Guard event, presented virtually, is scheduled for November 12, 2020 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Central. Port Houston is being honored for its steadfast support of the Coast Guard Foundation, and its meaningful partnerships across the maritime and supporting community.
The event committee chair is Judith Roos, Coast Guard Foundation Director. Keynote remarks will be delivered by ADM Karl Schultz, USCG, Commandant of the Coast Guard and ADM Charles Ray, USCG, Vice Commandant of the Coast Guard. The emcee for the evening will be Reggie Rivers, former Denver Bronco and benefit auctioneer.
Mission spotlights will include the Foundation’s 2020 scholarship program, which awarded more than $500,000 to deserving Coast Guard children who are enrolled in college as well as recent emergency relief support to Coast Guard members and families impacted by four named hurricanes this year in Texas, Louisiana and Florida.
