Robert Luna, Coast Guard Veteran, Will Finish the Walk Across America on Oct. 17
Robert Luna, a retired Coast Guard veteran, embarked on an incredible journey on May 18 in Weaver, Alabama, to walk across America to raise awareness for military and veteran mental health. He will arrive at his destination-- Coast Guard Base Los Angeles/Long Beach- on Oct. 17, having walked more than 2,200 miles.
Starting his trek with a heart full of determination, Robert covered thousands of miles to shed light on the struggles many veterans face, including PTSD, depression, and anxiety. As a retired Coast Guard member, he understands the challenges veterans encounter when transitioning back to civilian life. Throughout his walk, Robert has connected with veterans, supporters and every day Americans, sharing stories of hope, resilience and the importance of seeking help when needed.
Now, Robert is inviting everyone to join him in “The Final Mile" fundraiser, an event where people from all walks of life can come together to show their support for veterans. This final mile symbolizes unity, strength, and the commitment to ensuring that no veteran or service member is left behind.
You can participate by committing to walking 1 mile by Oct. 17 and donating to the cause.
