The Coast Guard Foundation will broadcast its second annual Heroes of the Coast Guard program online, Sept. 14, at 8 p.m. Eastern Time. Streamed live on Facebook, Youtube, and coastguardfoundation.org, the program will also have an encore showing at 8 p.m. Pacific Time for viewers on the West Coast and in Hawaii and Alaska.

This year’s broadcast will feature electrifying rescues, daring law enforcement, and touching family moments at Coast Guard locations from Alaska to Cape Cod and from San Diego to Ft. Lauderdale.

“The Coast Guard’s work is important and thrilling, and many people never have a chance to see Coast Guard members in action,” said Susan Ludwig, Coast Guard Foundation president. “We are proud to present that work to viewers worldwide for a second year. We hope you will join us.”

Last year’s broadcast drew viewers from all over the United States as well as international locations across Europe, South Korea, and Taiwan. The 2021 broadcast was structured as a live online fundraiser due to the pandemic, but this year’s Heroes of the Coast Guard will be an action-filled news magazine taking you to locations around the country to showcase the work of Coast Guard members, as well as the ways the Coast Guard Foundation community supports them and their families.

To allow the Foundation to present the Heroes of the Coast Guard, the program will include on air sponsorships and sponsored segments from corporate and other partners. Those interested in sponsoring the broadcast can learn more by contacting Ron LaBrec at rlabrec@coastguardfoundation.org.
