Join us on Memorial Day for the Run to Remember

Memorial Day is Monday, May 29, 2023. This year, we are hosting our fourth annual virtual Run to Remember over Memorial Day weekend.

What is the Virtual Coast Guard Foundation Run to Remember? Each year the Coast Guard Foundation Run to Remember brings people and communities together to honor Coast Guard members who died in operational duty and in service to our country. Together we honor their memories through road races, memorial walks, and more.

We are hosting a virtual event over Memorial Day weekend, and asking our supporters to participate in whatever way they can.

You can:

• Run on a treadmill
• Complete a workout
• Jog around the neighborhood
• Walk around the block
• Register for a road race in your town
• Organize a group activity with family and friends

All proceeds go to support our tragedy assistance program that provides comfort to Coast Guard families and units who face the unthinkable loss of an active-duty member. To support active-duty Coast Guard members in their time of great loss, the Coast Guard Foundation’s tragedy assistance program also includes assistance after the death of a spouse or child.

How can I participate in the Virtual Run to Remember?

• Order a t-shirt by May 23 to guarantee delivery by Friday, May 26. Adult sizes are offered at $27, children's sizes are $20 each. Each item includes shipping.
• Plan your activity - walk, jog, run, workout- you pick the activity and plan your route.
• Print out a sign and let us know who you are running for.
• Take a photo and share it on social media using our hashtags so we can follow you: #WeRemember #FallenHeroes #CoastGuardFoundation #RuntoRemember
