There are two primary ways to directly support a Coast Guard unit with significant investment. You may select a single, multi-year commitment and pledge to support a unit over five years, or you may create an endowed gift, which will support a station, cutter or sector in perpetuity.
Multi-Year Commitment Option (Five Year Pledge):
$25,000 minimum investment to provide $5,000 annually to support a Coast Guard unit or station's morale and wellness programs.
Endowment Structure Option:
$50,000 minimum gift to establish an endowment that will yield on average $2,500 in annual support.
Working with Coast Guard Foundation development team, you will identify a Coast Guard area that’s important to you. Do you enjoy boating in the Great Lakes? Admire the work of rescue crews in the Gulf Coast? Appreciate the efforts of small boat operators in San Francisco Bay?
A donor can establish a multi-year support or endowment fund to specifically benefit a Coast Guard station, or a particular Coast Guard cutter. With an endowment, investment income proceeds will be distributed annually to the Coast Guard asset for morale and wellness programs. The “adopt a unit” option gives a donor an opportunity to designate a gift to support a unit that means the most to them, or where it’s needed most.
