There are two primary ways to directly support a Coast Guard unit with significant investment. You may select a single, multi-year commitment and pledge to support a unit over five years, or you may create an endowed gift, which will support a station, cutter or sector in perpetuity.
Multi-Year Commitment Option:
$25,000 minimum investment.
Endowment Structure Options:
$50,000 minimum gift to establish an endowment.
Working with Coast Guard Foundation development staff, you will identify a Coast Guard area that’s important to you. Do you enjoy boating in the Great Lakes? Admire the work of rescue crews in the Gulf Coast? Appreciate the efforts of small boat operators in San Francisco Bay?
Wherever your interest lies, you can establish a multi-year support or an endowment fund to specifically benefit a Coast Guard station, or a particular Coast Guard cutter. With an endowment program, annually, 5% of the 3-year rolling average will be distributed to the Coast Guard asset for morale, wellness and recreation efforts. The “adopt a unit” option gives a donor an opportunity to designate a gift to support a unit that means the most to you, or where it’s needed most.
