This year- our fiftieth-anniversary-mark- is no different, and we proudly produced a video that highlights our beginnings in 1969 as the Coast Guard Academy Foundation. How Do You Say Thank You? recognizes those who founded the organization, and those who later expanded our mission, and features our pillar areas of support for the Coast Guard. The production acknowledges the generosity of our donors over the last fifty years who have helped us stand shoulder-to-shoulder with those who serve.

Here's how we acknowledged our anniversary in other milestone years:

1979- Plaque dedicated at the Coast Guard Academy in recognition of 10 years of support.
1989- Special feature in the Coast Guard Foundation Annual Report highlighting 20 years of excellence and the Foundation’s newly expanded mission
1999- Timeline and support highlights in the Annual Report reflecting 30 years of programs and projects
2009- Commemorative book published detailing the Foundation’s history and reflecting on core support and event program. The book, Legacy, was dedicated to G. William Miller, one of the organization’s founding board members and key supporters. The book was released at the Coast Guard Foundation’s Salute to the Coast Guard in October 2009 in New York City.
