With the news that the partial government shutdown has ended, we stand ready to respond to the short and long term needs of our Coast Guard members. We plan to continue our family morale support program, as Coast Guard members and civilian employees assess their needs and we work to fill in gaps and strengthen their core.

We are honored and humbled by the outpouring of support from so many who were motivated to support the Coast Guard Foundation, their own Coast Guard communities and other Coast Guard-serving organizations.

We are grateful to our partner in providing family morale support -- the Coast Guard Chief Petty Officers Association-- and its branches and members all around the country.

To Coast Guard members and families, we salute you, for your honor, respect and devotion to duty in this uncertain and challenging time. It is our honor, as board members, staff and volunteers, to serve you.
