Blessey Receives Coast Guard Public Service Award
Congratulations to Coast Guard Foundation board member Walter Blessey, Jr.
Blessey, Jr. was presented with a Coast Guard Meritorious Public Service Award during the American Waterways Operators’ spring convention in Washington, D.C. in early April.
The service award honors his “contributions to the inland marine transportation industry, navigation safety, environmental stewardship, and homeland security during his decades-long involvement with the American Waterways Operators.”
Blessey joined the Coast Guard Foundation Board of Trustees in 2016 and his support for the organization has extended to all core areas of support for Coast Guard members and families.
