With support from the Coast Guard Foundation, 450+ San Diego-based Coast Guard members are focused on building a strong community and maintaining critically important mission-readiness.

Across the sector, the Coast Guard Foundation outfitted new fitness and recreation spaces that promote the health and wellness of all who live and serve in the area.

A half-pipe skate ramp and safety gear create an outdoor space for Coast Guard members and families to skateboard, exercise safely, and create community bonds.

A newly remodeled honor wall pays tribute to Coast Guard members who died in service to our country. The space provides a way for service members to honor and remember the Sector San Diego members who made the ultimate sacrifice.

A Malolo outrigger canoe and paddles support the sector canoe team’s ability to regularly practice, compete, and connect with the community.

Through each of these investments, the Coast Guard Foundation has empowered our members’ access to fitness and helped solidify the memories of our fallen shipmates. Your steadfast generosity has directly contributed to the Coast Guard’s mission readiness and retention. We are truly grateful.

Our summer youth enrichment program affords local Coast Guard families an opportunity to participate in summer camps and programs, and because of COVID-19 restrictions, invest in technology and online programming that best suits each families’ needs.
