Run to Remember in 2026
Memorial Day is a time to pause and remember those who gave their lives in service.
For the Coast Guard Foundation community, it is also a time to come together in a simple, meaningful way through the Run to Remember.
For many, that purpose feels especially close this year as we continue to honor Petty Officer 2nd Class Tyler Jaggers, a rescue swimmer who died in March from injuries sustained during a rescue mission off the coast of Washington.
The 2026 Memorial Day Run to Remember will be held virtually May 22–25, making it easy to join in from anywhere. You can organize your own run or walk, join a local road race or walk, or simply head out and create your own route to honor Coast Guard fallen heroes.
The Run to Remember is free to participate in and participants are encouraged to purchase a commemorative 2026 Run to Remember T-Shirt, with proceeds supporting the Foundation’s tragedy assistance program that provides financial support to Coast Guard families facing loss, serious injury, or illness. In 2025, the Foundation supported 21 families and in 2026, that work has supported nine families to date and will continue as new needs arise.
Like last year, we are again offering two T-shirt designs. One design honors Coast Guard members who died in operational, line-of-duty service* with their names displayed on the back. The second design features a life ring and boat, symbolizing support for shipmates and families during times of great need. T-shirts are $30 and include shipping.
When you purchase a 2026 Run to Remember T-shirt, you’ll also get a race bib, a 2026 decal featuring the names of fallen heroes and a social media poster so you can share why you’re taking part.
