Join Us And Help To Build The Coast Guard K9 Memorial
K9 Veterans Day 2022 will be celebrated March 13 and ahead of this day the Coast Guard Foundation is fundraising to build a K9 memorial at Coast Guard Base Alameda. We have a $50,000 fundraising target and Fred Brodsky, Coast Guard Foundation board member, has already donated $10,000 to help us reach our goal.
With your donation, this memorial will be where the ashes of service dogs can be laid to rest by their handlers. It will honor not only the dogs that dedicated their lives to their country, but their handlers as well.

This day was established to recognize and celebrate the contributions of service animals. And the Coast Guard has a long tradition of employing K9s in the protection of our country, dating as far back as World War II. These dogs are highly trained and crucial to ensuring our national security.
Service dogs deserve our admiration and respect for their vital role in the Coast Guard. Help us honor them with your donation today.
