Coast Guard Foundation Celebrates Pacific Heroes at Honolulu Tribute Event

The Coast Guard Foundation's Tribute to the U.S. Coast Guard Fourteenth District gathered maritime heroes and supporters on May 22, 2025, for an extraordinary celebration at the Hoʻokupu Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. The CG Foundation timed this year’s event to align with National Maritime Day, showcasing the exceptional work of Coast Guard personnel who serve the maritime community throughout the Pacific region, while highlighting vital programs including Coast Guard Foundation scholarships and family support initiatives.

The event provided an intimate gathering for attendees to hear powerful testimonials about Coast Guard operations that underscore the service’s crucial role in Pacific maritime security and disaster response operations.

Vice Admiral Andy Tiongson, US Coast Guard Pacific Area Commander, headlined an impressive roster of speakers who detailed the remarkable achievements of Coast Guard units across Hawaii, Guam, American Samoa, and Japan.

With Norwegian Cruise Lines as the presenting sponsor, partners and attendees demonstrated unwavering commitment to supporting military families through various programs. The Foundation's initiatives, including children’s and spouses’ scholarships and military scholarships for Coast Guard members, provide essential educational opportunities for Coast Guard families. Additionally, the CG Foundation offers crucial morale and wellness programs, alongside emergency relief assistance for service members facing unexpected challenges.
