2022 Scholarship Application Timeline for Coast Guard kids

  • Ron LaBrec

Everything you need to know about applying for a scholarship this year

We are accepting scholarship applications from Feb. 1 through April 1 (please note: deadline extended) for the 2022 -- 2023 school year. Children of Coast Guard members may apply for annual scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 to attend an accredited college or technical school. Scholarships are available to children of Coast Guard members who are active duty, active-duty reserve and retired. Eligible applicants may apply for up to four years of assistance.

Interested children of Coast Guard members should check eligibility guidelines at coastguardfoundation.org/apply. All applicants must use the Coast Guard Foundation’s online application.

The majority of our scholarships benefit the dependents of enlisted members, however, we do have a scholarship opportunity for the children of commissioned officers, and another scholarship for Coast Guard families working at Aviation Logistics Center Elizabeth City. Details are below.

About our Scholarship Program

In the 30 years of the Coast Guard Foundation’s scholarship program, the Foundation has awarded $6.3 million to more than 1,500 college-aged young adults.

We are proud of our more than 30 years supporting Coast Guard kids through our scholarship program. College is expensive, and we are truly honored to partner with our very generous supporters to help ease that burden for so many deserving Coast Guard families.
