Captain Ron LaBrec, USCG (Ret.) joined the Coast Guard Foundation in 2018 following his 29-year career in the United States Coast Guard. In his role, he works closely with the Coast Guard units in the Mid-Atlantic region to identify and fulfill education, morale, and family support for Coast Guard members.
LaBrec graduated from the Coast Guard Academy in 1989 and holds a master's degree from Boston University. His career in the service included posts as Commanding Officer of Coast Guard Recruiting Command, Director of Public Affairs, Chief of Training for the Coast Guard's Yorktown, VA, training center, and serving as Assistant Superintendent of the Coast Guard Academy.
