2022 Coast Guard Foundation Spouse Grants

Open application period: January 15-March 1, 2022

Eligible Coast Guard spouses may apply for a grant to support their college and professional training goals during the 2022 open application period. Our program awards $500 grants to cover tuition, fees, supplies and related education expenses.

A second program supported by Delta Dental provides $2,000 grants to Coast Guard spouses pursuing specific degrees in oral health, medical and nursing, and wellness professions.

What to know when applying:

  • Grants benefit non-military spouses of enlisted Coast Guard members in rates E3-E6.
  • Education and training programs must be at a regionally or nationally accredited institution.
  • Priority will be given to spouses pursuing first degrees: associates, bachelors, licenses, and certifications.
  • Grants are awarded in the order they are received, provided all eligibility requirements have been met.

As I enter into my final year of nursing school I greatly appreciate all the help I can get. This grant will help me with the cost of school books and other necessary items. Thank you so much!

For Coast Guard spouses, achieving higher education or professional licensing and certification boosts a family’s financial stability and gives them personal fulfillment. The Coast Guard Foundation offers grants to spouses so that they have everything they need to provide for their family and strengthen their well-being.

The Coast Guard Foundation spouse grant program makes a difference for hundreds of Coast Guard families every year. In 2019, a partnership with Delta Dental expanded our program offerings to support Coast Guard spouses pursuing specific degrees in the medical, oral health, and wellness professions.
