The Coast Guard Foundation accepts donated sail and power boats for use in various waterfront programs including maritime training activities, intercollegiate sailing competitions and long-distance ocean racing programs at the Coast Guard Academy, Auxiliary safety patrols and Coast Guard morale boats.

1. Contact the Coast Guard Foundation at 860-535-0786 to determine if your boat qualifies
2. Complete the necessary donation paperwork provided by the Coast Guard Foundation
3. Claim your tax deduction. You will receive an official letter and IRS form from the Coast Guard Foundation to be submitted with your tax return
