The Newport Exhibition Group announced that the Coast Guard Foundation will be the official charitable partner for the 44th Annual Newport International Boat Show, set for September 11-14 in Newport, Rhode Island. As the show’s charitable partner, the Coast Guard Foundation will receive a portion of Sunday’s ticket sales, complimentary exhibit space at the event and the opportunity share information and raise awareness for our important mission.
“The Coast Guard Foundation does extremely important work supporting the men and women of the Coast Guard, and we are proud to have them as our charitable partner,” said Nancy Piffard, show director, Newport Exhibition Group. “This partnership gives us the opportunity to remind the thousands of people who attend our show of the Coast Guard’s selfless dedication to safety on the water as well as the Foundation’s dedication to the Coast Guard itself.”
“We are incredibly grateful and honored to be the Newport International Boat Show’s charity of choice for 2014,” said Anne Brengle, president, Coast Guard Foundation. “The event is a fantastic venue for us to raise awareness about the Foundation’s work and programs, and the gift from the Show will help us in our support of New England-based Coast Guard members and their families. We truly value both their partnership and support.”
Expected to draw tens of thousands to historic Newport, the Newport International Boat Show will take place September 11-14, 2014 on the Newport Waterfront along America’s Cup Avenue in Newport, Rhode Island. One of the largest in-water boat shows in the country and the kick-off to the boat show season, the event will host exhibitors from around the world with an exceptional assortment of boats of every type and style, and a wide variety of accessories, equipment, electronics, gear and services for boaters.
