Complete List of 2013 Coast Guard Foundation Scholars

The Coast Guard Foundation is proud to support the families of brave Coast Guard men and women who are pursuing the dream of higher education. For the past 20 years, we've given out more than $2.4 million in scholarships, helping 250 students defray the costs of college.

We are very happy to announce that, thanks to increased fundraising efforts, we were able to fund every qualified scholarship applicant this year, resulting in more than 60 scholars. See the complete list of 2013 scholarship winners below.

RADM Arnold I. Sobel Scholarships

These scholarships award $20,000 to each student; $5,000/year for four years. Named in honor of founding Coast Guard Foundation director Arnie Sobel, who served in the Coast Guard in World War II and went on to a distinguished career in business.

CDR Daniel J. Christovich Scholarships

Christovich, USCG (Ret.) after a distinguished twenty-three year career in the Coast Guard, where he served as an officer in various assignments including key positions at USCG Headquarters. The Christoviches award 10 children of enlisted Coast Guard personnel with $20,000 scholarships, and one annual $2,500 grant to a deserving Coast Guard dependent child.
