In Loving Memory of Our Dear Friend and Colleague, Lisa Reed (September 8, 1953 — August, 27 2013)
We lost a dear friend and colleague when Lisa Reed passed away August 27 after a long, fierce battle with cancer. Lisa was at home on her beloved Fishers Island surrounded by her family when she passed.
Lisa joined the Coast Guard Foundation in 2009 as a vice president of individual and major giving. Over her time with the Foundation she oversaw a number of vital initiatives, including spearheading the Leadership 44 campaign. She dedicated her life to helping others. She will be sorely missed.
A joy to be around
Always a willing hand
To help others in need.
Farewell dear colleague.
Although we will miss your comradeship here
You will live on in our hearts
As a fountain of friendship
And inspiration for a kind deed.
Rest in peace, Lisa.
